Sustainability/Environment

Mother Nature is the original mother.

At Ren & Oak we believe that we need to do our part in sustaining a future for our future generations.

We work with a fabric supplier in BC that mirror our beliefs in sustainability.

The fashion industry is the second biggest consumer of water and 10% of global carbon emissions according to  UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

85% of all textiles go to dumps each year. Even washing clothes releases 500,000 tons of microfibres into the ocean each year, the equivalent of 50 billion plastic bottles.

To counter this waste and damage caused by fashion, more sustainable fabrics that can be used in clothing include organic cotton lyocell merino wool and bamboo.

In the future we plan to have a secondhand/recycling program for our garments.  Stay tuned for updates!
